When we bought the house in 2019, the upstairs carpets were old, dark grey and falling apart. They were not the soft, warm and welcoming carpets that I had always dreamed of.
Replacing them with luxury, wool carpets from Brockway has made such a difference.
If you have followed me for a while, you will know that my love affair with Brockway started when we transformed our bedroom by adding coving, panelling and a lick of paint. We added Lakeland Herdwick Loop in ‘Buttermere’ and as our toes sink into it when the sun rises every morning, we knew that we wanted to upgrade the whole house with beautiful wool carpets. We chose the same carpet for our office and ordered lots of free samples for the other upstairs rooms. It was such a hard decision because all of the carpets are beautiful and there is so much choice!
For our narrow stairs, landing and stairs to the loft, we chose Lakeland Herdwick Weave in the colour ‘Rydal’ which is a gorgeous pale but dreamy gold. It has a beautiful herringbone pattern which adds lovely texture and detail. It is durable and long-lasting and makes the perfect addition to the modern country decor theme throughout the house. The team at Brockway are incredibly knowledgable and really helped us decide.
We transformed our spare room on the third floor in to a tranquil snug and chose Heathcote in ‘Limed Oak’ which has created a warm, cosy sanctuary for us to chill out in. It goes perfectly with the dark, muddy walls and light coloured seating.
I genuinely mean it when I say I would now not look anywhere else when looking for a carpet, other than Brockway.
